Marketing Coordinator
Join Our Team!
The Brainerd Lakes Chamber is looking for a creative, organized, community-minded Marketing Coordinator to help us promote Chamber events, programs, tourism, local businesses, and community initiatives throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants to learn, grow, and do a wide variety of meaningful work. It could also be a good fit for someone with more experience who is looking for a fun, fast-moving, community-focused role with a strong team culture.
No two days will look exactly the same. One day you might be creating social media content, designing a flyer, updating an email campaign, or helping promote a major Chamber event. Another day you might be out in the community taking photos, visiting member businesses, capturing short videos, or helping tell the story of what makes the Brainerd Lakes Area such a special place.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to jump in where needed. We will build the role around the right person’s strengths, skills and experience.
What You’ll Help With
- Designing basic graphics and marketing materials for digital and print use
- Marketing Chamber events, programs, tourism and community initiatives
- Creating social media content and helping manage digital channels
- Writing and editing content for emails, websites, newsletters, flyers and event promotions
- Assisting with email marketing campaigns
- Taking photos and short videos at events, businesses, and community activities
- Helping update website content and event information
- Supporting a variety of projects with a team that works hard, has fun, and cares about doing excellent work
Skills That Would Help You Succeed
You do not need to check every box, but you should be a strong communicator, organized, detail-minded, and comfortable managing several projects at once. The ideal candidate has graphic design experience, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Experience with social media, content creation, email marketing and/or website updates would also be valuable. Photography or video experience would be a plus.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a positive, professional, community-focused attitude who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
Why You’ll Like Working Here
At the Chamber, you will be part of a team-focused, family-focused culture built around excellence, service, and teamwork. Your work will be visible in the community and will help support local businesses, events, tourism, and the overall success of the Brainerd Lakes Area.
This is not a cubicle-only job. You will have opportunities to get out into the community, meet people, support events, and be part of work that changes from day to day.
