Audio/Visual & Technology Coordinator
Hours: 4-8 hours a week
(Consideration for additional hours during festival seasons or an exceptional amount of funerals, weddings etc. with approval from Pastor or Church Leadership.)
Benefits/Wage
This is a part-time hourly position. The hourly wage will be $25 per hour.
General Purpose:
Provide technical administrative support to the congregation by conducting and organizing audio, visual, streaming, and broadcasting needs for weekly worship services and special events.

General Responsibilities
The Technical Coordinator will lead the Audio/Visual (A/V) aspects of Trinity Lutheran Church, training technical volunteers toward best practices, and support the A/V needs of all ministries. The Technical Coordinator will work alongside the Pastors to lead weekend and special services with technical and spiritual excellence, including preparation, thought, and intention for each service and event.
Responsibilities
• Work alongside Trinity staff to create and implement Sunday and Midweek service and event plans. • Recruit, equip, and retain a healthy tech team that includes audio, lights, Media Shout, and broadcast. • Develop a team capable of meeting A/V needs for special events, including ministry events, weddings, and funerals.
• Choose, install, and maintain A/V equipment as able to do so or make arrangements from local A/V business.
• Develop guidelines and procedures for operating A/V equipment for Sundays, Wednesdays (during the school year) and special services/events.
• Assure that the tech elements of the service, including audio, visual, and physical aspects, are prepared and executed according to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and correct A/V challenges to minimize service distraction and support service execution. • Develop knowledge of Media Shout. (Software for Worship Slides and Streaming.)
Qualifications
• Experience in an Audio/Visual vocation or key volunteer role in a corporate (communal) setting • Solid team player who can play the role of servant, peer, and leader in team dynamics. • Ability to recruit, develop, and retain volunteers
• Working knowledge and expertise in A/V systems, equipment, and best practices • Ability to work on major holidays (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter) or have strong volunteers in place.
Sunday morning and Wednesday midweek service hours would be required initially but could be negotiated as qualified volunteers are available to serve.
