There’s an excitement in the air as we look forward to warmer weather and a busy tourism season! Now is the perfect time to come together with other local businesses and get ready for the influx of summer travel.

Hosted in partnership with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber, Crosslake Chamber, Pequot Lakes Chamber, Nisswa Chamber, and Cuyuna Lakes Chamber, we’re excited to announce the 2nd Annual Lakes Area Summer Kickoff tourism event at Grand View Lodge!

Calling all owners and staff of a lodging properties, restaurants, attractions, and event planners—this event is a must-attend for statewide tourism information, customer service and leadership training, and networking.

Nicole Lalum, Explore Minnesota Industry Relations Representative, will give updates on tourism, the vision of Explore Minnesota, and preview of upcoming summer marketing campaigns. 

Our keynote speaker, Ted Schick from Schick Corporate Learning, will bring an engaging session, On the Frontlines of Tourism: You are Brainerd Lakes' Ambassadors. Whether you are retail, lodging, attractions, or a Brainerd Lakes business, you are on the FRONTLINE of tourism. People have an experience with you and they talk about that experience. In this fun and practical presentation, we set the tone for the upcoming tourism season as we discuss the 4 pillars of exceptional customer service as well as a deeper look at the tactics and behaviors of “in-the-trenches” customer service. What an education he received and he’s ready to share his lessons with you. Let’s get ready to serve our visitors on the frontlines of tourism.
