Description

Minnesota Sings

Friday, April 25 at 7 pm | Sacred Heart Chapel, Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls

Saturday, April 26 at 7 pm | Crosslake Lutheran Church, Crosslake

According to Legacy Chorale Director Michael Smith, this program will have special significance for our Minnesota audiences. As the title of the program suggests, all of the music concert goers will hear has been written by our own Minnesota composers. “From the great choral tradition of the Christiansen family – F. Melius, Olaf, and Paul – to the latest music of Abbie Betenis and Bob Dylan, our audiences will feel right at home enjoying music from our own renowned Minnesota choral tradition.”

This program will be Michael Smith’s last concert series as director of the Legacy Chorale, as he will be retiring from the position at the end of the season. Smith stated that he has greatly appreciated the support he and the Chorale have received from audiences around the Brainerd Lakes Area. Making music together with an excellent group of singers is always a special treat and a life-enriching experience. Smith firmly believes music changes lives for the better and hopes the Legacy Chorale will continue to be a leading force in making choral music an integral part of the Brainerd Lakes community.
