Among all of the musical forms born in the United States, there’s nothing quite like the Blues. This style, developed from work songs and folk chants, evolved over the decades into a tradition that’s inspired countless musicians, arrangers, and composers from across the globe. Join LAMF musicians and host/curator, Loki Karuna, in a special presentation of works inspired by the Blues and other folk traditions, featuring compositions by Maurice Ravel, David Baker, Louis Chauvin, and Paul Schoenfeld.
