2024 17th Annual Sporting Clays Summer Fling

Description
We're ready to enjoy warm summer air, connect with professionals, friendly competition and smashing clays during the Chamber's 17th Annual Sporting Clays Summer Fling hosted at Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation on Tuesday, June 18, 2024! This event is for novice and experienced shooters. A warm up station will be provided.
The Sporting Clays Summer Fling is an excellent way to express employee appreciation, entertain business prospects, or use the event as a marketing tool to promote your business.
Spend the outdoors enjoying team camaraderie, build friendships and good-natured competition on the two 8 station competitive or novice sporting clays courses at the 1,500 acre hunting preserve of Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation located north-east of Little Falls.

FLASH CLAYS! - NEW FOR 2024
Adding fun and excitement to this Sporting Clays Summer Fling with be the random placement of FLASH CLAYS to the stations! Earn an extra point when you see a cloud of smoke from hitting a flash clay!
SMASH HIT!
The addition of TWO- 8 station courses last year was a SMASH HIT! There will be a highly COMPETITIVE COURSE for those teams who shoot regularly and a NOVICE COURSE for teams who are amateurs and are learning the sport. Determine which course your team wants to shoot when you register.
NETWORK
Network with other members in a relaxed setting by signing up as an individual and being placed randomly with three other shooters or reward your employees and clients by forming a team of four. Shooting Station sponsors will provide water, snacks and entertainment along the courses.
FLURRY
Participants will enjoy the friendly team competition at the Flurry Station! Team members will have the opportunity to shoot 40 clays to earn points. Who will be our Team Flurry winner this year?
SCHEDULE
1:00 -1:45 PM // Check In, Warm Up station and Split the Pot station. Additional Split the Pot attempts can be purchased at check in and the station ($10 / 5 attempts).
1:45 PM // Welcome and Safety Meeting
2:00 PM // Shotgun Start to the Stations
4:00 PM // Shotgun Social
- Grand Prize: Ruger 243 Rifle
- Hunting Prize: 16 Bird Pheasant Hunt
- Must be booked in advance and used September 1-15 or after Thanksgiving weekend
- Processing, guides, and added product are not included
- Traveling Trophies awarded to best scores: Team, Flurry, Hen (individual female), Rooster (individual male)

Early Bird Registration Incentive: Register by May 31 to receive a $50 Team or $25 Individual discount.
Individual Shooter: $250 Chamber member / $275 non member (will be placed with a team)
- Warm Up Station + 7 Station Course + Flurry Station
- Choose competitive or novice course
- 1 Mulligan (allowed to re-shoot 1 station)
- 1 Split the Pot (5 attempts. Receive 1 ticket for each clay shot at the station.)
- Meal provided at the end by Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation
- 1 Entry for door prizes
Team Shoot Package: $850 Chamber member / $900 non member (4 shooters per Team)
- Warm Up Station + 7 Station Course + Flurry Station
- Choose competitive or novice course
- 4 Mulligans (each shooter is allowed to re-shoot 1 station one time)
- Split the Pot (Each shooter will use 5 chances to try and hit 5 targets at the Split the Pot station. Each hit will grant the shooter 1 ticket for a chance to win the Split the Pot.)
- 4 Meals provided at the end by Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation
- 4 Entries for door prizes
All Shooters Need to Provide:
- Bring your own shotgun and plan on shooting 125+ shells (shells can be purchased at Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation)
- Ear protection
- Eye protection
- Bag for carrying shells
- Dress accordingly for the weather
- Promote your team with matching logo wear, shooting vests, and etc.

MEET YOUR HOST
Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation is a full service, 1500-acre hunting preserve that offers pheasant, duck, and chukar hunting. They welcome all shooters; from family outings to business functions, beginners to professionals. Spring and summer leagues are available to join. The Youth Adventures Camp provides fun, educational outdoor activities, firearm safety and a highlighted pheasant/chukar hunt. Rice Creek Hunting & Recreation is a great place to host your wedding, a weekend getaway and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
