Join the WAVE Young Professionals Network for their January event, Generations in the Workplace! Explore the unique perspectives that shape how different generations engage and interact. This engaging session dives into understanding the life experiences of others, such as economic fluctuations or societal changes, and how these events influence behaviors and responses in professional environments. Lunch will be provided, courtesy of Chef Mike’s Catering.

This event is FREE for WAVE Members. Guests are $25.

Meet Our Workshop Leader
Mike Bjerkness | Workforce Director, BLAEDC
Mike has been the Workforce Director for BLAEDC since 2016, working with businesses in the Brainerd Lakes area to conduct workforce trainings and offer executive level recruitment. As a lifelong Brainerd resident Mike is engrained into the community in several capacities. Mike is a graduate of the Lakes Area Leadership Group, Past President of LANG, Past Chair of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber Ambassador Committee, Currently serves on the Brainerd YMCA board, Smiles for Jake board, Brainerd Noon Rotary’s current International Committee Chair, CLC Foundation board, CLC Business Education/IT Committee and a member of several workforce related alliances. In his off-time Mike enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and playing softball. Mike is married to Kristi Westbrock the GM/CEO of CTC in Brainerd and has one daughter, Emily.

WAVE YPN is a NEW networking and professional development program for individuals aged 18-39 in the Brainerd Lakes Area. This program is organized by the Brainerd Lakes Chamber and led by a team of young individuals representing a wide variety of industries across our community.
