Historic Brainerd Downtown Walking Tour

Description

Take in the sights of picturesque downtown Brainerd, MN. A local historian and tour guide will lead you around the charming brick buildings that align the downtown streets where you will look up, down and all around at things that will surprise and enlighten you.

Your guide will stop and talk about the significance of the buildings around town, the people who built them, and the unique historical stories surrounding them. The tour includes brief sidewalk stops at historically relevant sites. Early images of Brainerd help to bring the past to life. You will be able to compare Brainerd’s first building with today’s cityscape. Be wowed by the pieces of history still here today and inspired by the history of those that came before us.

Guided public tours are available by advance reservation. Please phone Visit Brainerd at 218-825-0410 to reserve your spot. This tour requires a minimum of 5 people and is limited to 15 people. Tour durations last 1.5 hours. Please dress accordingly for walking tours. We will make every effort to reschedule your tour in case of inclement weather.
