Business After Hours - Region 5 Children's Museum

Tuesday, July 28, 2020 (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join the Region 5 Children's Museum as they host Business After Hours on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 4:30 - 6:00 pm at the potential future location in Lum Park. The 612 Station will be serving utensil free appetizers and beverages including beer and wine. The Region 5 Children's Museum's Grand Prize will be a Maluna Cooler ($265 value donated by Ellen and Tom Haglin owners of LINDAR Corporation)! Additional door prizes will be two $50 gift certificates to area restaurants!

Social distancing and state guidelines will be followed at Business After Hours at Lum Park.  Much thought has been given to understanding state guidelines, researching social distancing techniques, and making sure we have the protocols in place to keep all attendees safe. Business After Hours will take place throughout the park as attendees are encouraged to explore the park, get to know it’s attributes, and envision its potential.  All attendees are required to check-in as they enter the park, at which time social distancing rules will communicated.  Attendees will receive a welcome packet including a map of the park, post-it notes, a pen to keep, and four questions related to the site master planning.  Ample hand sanitizer will be readily available.  At various spots in the park, four large boards will depict the history of Lum Park, show an aerial view of Lum Park, an arial view of the Lum Park within the region, and illustrations showing the vision for the children’s museum.  Each large board will have one associated question, and attendees can leave their input using their individual post-it’s and pen from the welcome packet.  Snacks and beverages will be available in individual servings with no utensils being shared.  A number of waist bins will be spread out.  For the Business After Hours announcements and program, a microphone will be used so attendees can remain socially distant by six feet over a large area.  Door prizes will be arranged on tables, so when drawn, winners can take their prize without coming into personal contact.  All areas will be clearly marked and social distancing expectations will be communicated and reinforced at check-in, on signage, and during the program.
