VERSE LIKE WATER PRESENTS CHINESE-AMERICAN POET JENNY XIE!

Verse Like Water: the visiting poet program of Central Lakes College presents Jenny Xie, our first live literary event in exactly two years. Jenny, a professor at Bard College, is a rising star in American literature, and her most recent book Eye Level was selected by VLW poet Juan Felipe Herrera for the prestigious Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets. Jenny’s noon poetry reading will be followed by a book signing, and an informal craft talk around 1:30, also in the Chalberg. And, because of the friendship between Verse Like Water in Graywolf Press in Minneapolis, all high school student attending will receive a free copy of her book Eye Level!
