Description
The Brainerd Jaycees believe that service to humanity is the best work of life. Who has served us better than the veterans of our great nation? We want to show our appreciation by connecting and uniting veterans of all branches, while raising awareness of the sad truth of homelessness among those who have served our country.Join us on Saturday December 7th, 2019 for the 4th Annual Homeless Heroes 5k and One-mile Dedication run/walk, with proceeds to benefit Homeless and Wounded Warriors MN. The community is also welcome to participate in our digital Hero’s in our Hearts campaign showcasing the men and women in uniform we call loved ones.
Homeless Heroes 5k will be a chipped time event. With awards given to top finishers in each age group.
The Virtual 5k can be run from any location or state on your time. If you are not able to participate in our event on December 7th but still want to support the cause consider this option. Your run swag(shirt and bib) will be mailed out to you. You must register one week in advance to race day.
Heroes in our Hearts digital campaign will play during the race highlighting the men and women in uniform we call loved ones. If you have a photo of yourself or a loved one that you would like to submit please email it to homelessheroes5k@gmail.com.
