Thursday | August 9, 2018 | Northern Pacific Center
1-5 pm: NP Center Tours.
30-minute tours, starting at the Clock Tower, every half hour. Contact Rick Fargo with questions. 218-839-5758.
1-7 pm: Hotrod & Antique Car Show including B.I.R. 50th Anniversary Car Collection. Located in the open courtyard of the Northern Pacific Center.
Food Trucks. Located in the open courtyard of the Northern Pacific Center.
5:30 pm: Beer Social at Roundhouse Brewery. The Brainerd Mayor will say a few words and Brainerd History Week committee members will be on hand to answer questions.

10 am: 1898 Laurel Street Bridge Railing Dedication.

Saturday | August 11, 2018 | Old Crow Wing & Pioneer Day
10 am-6 pm: Paul Bunyan Land & This Old Farm Pioneer Village.
Pioneer Days featuring 1914 steam engine operation, log sawing, shingle making, black powder demo, museum in motion, parade. Admission fee includes amusement park. Contact Paul Bunyan Land for more information. 218-764-2524.
10:30-11:30 am: Evergreen Cemetery History Walk. Meet at the First Avenue Gate. We will be visiting the final resting places of WW I veterans and victims of the 1918 Spanish Influenza epidemic. Contact John Van Essen with questions. 218-828-9013. vanes002@umn.edu
Promptly leaving at 12:30 pm: Community Bike Ride from Brainerd/Baxter to Crow Wing State Park. Meet at Easy Riders Bike Shop. Kenn Shepherd will be the ride leader. This is considered a guided tour and a “no drop group ride” meaning that nobody gets left behind. Rental rate will be $30 but could vary upon your desired type of ride. This ride is approximately 12 miles one way. Contact Easy Riders for more information and to get registered. ALL riders should register. (218) 829-5516.
2 pm: Crow Wing State Park - Historical Presentation at Beaulieu house. Includes information about the history of Old Crow Wing and the 150th Anniversary of the Assassination of Chief Hole-in-the-Day. To get to the Beaulieu House: Drive straight ahead from park entrance station to picnic shelter area parking lot. There is a path and boardwalk on north end that leads to the Beaulieu House. The picnic shelter has been reserved as well in case of bad weather. A daily park pass is $7 if you do not already have a year pass purchased. 5 pm: Brainerd Ski Loons Water Ski Show. Bring the family down to the shore of Rice Lake to take in this show, featuring local ski enthusiasts. This is a free event. Raffle ticket winners will be announced during intermission.
